Being The Change creates revolution

Something happens when we pull ourselves together. Individually and collectively. When we glimpse and experience what we add up to…. and start to make choices we didn’t know we had. Many of us look around and yearn for change in our lives and in our work. That change may be relatively small, or it may be profound and appear painful to achieve.

Reaching out for others

When it’s your job to help people, sometimes the hardest part is reaching them – and you also have to get everyone working together. Volunteering and community engagement empower people to change the world from the grassroots up, especially when enabled by strong partnerships at every level.

Spreading and sharing the gospel

Our Focus is on building relationships and sharing messages that bring people closer to Jesus Christ. We are use the Spirit as we find ways to share the gospel across countries. We have the courage to share our testimony of the Savior when we feel prompted by the Spirit.

Empowering kids in Tanzania and Africa

We are always dedicated to empowering kids in Tanzania and across Africa to make a difference in their lives. If kids in Tanzania are lucky enough to go to school, it doesn’t mean they are lucky enough to have school supplies..

Touring tanzania and Africa

Celebrating the beauty of Tanzania, see the art and cultural and other members of creative industries. Tanzania is indeed a key cultural tourism destination, with a large number of major sites and a strong flow of international and domestic visitors. Tourists are more and more looking for true experiences, for meeting and getting to know other people and other cultures. And the best place is yet Tanzania.

Why portraying Africans as poor? Shall we ever get better?

Let me begin to say, I appreciate to have difference media worldwide, but at some point in life I really didn’t like the international media because they portrayed Africans as poor, sick and helpless. Whenever I tuned to watch international news, if it wasn’t a bomb attack in the Middle East or politics in the United States it would be a desperate plea for help from Africa; Children dying of starvation, others suffering from diseases or corruption which they said is the fulcrum of all our problems.  This picture to me didn’t reflect the right image because I was caught up in the beauty of life and disconnected from these realities.
My eyes stopped watching this kind of stories, but that didn’t change the story, the headlines remained in block letters, shining boldly on the screens and to me it felt like a scar whenever they appeared.  Shall we ever get better? This was one question I was left to answer because I learnt that if change must begin we must first change ourselves and it must start with us.
Join the Community Hope Trust TEAM
The greatest power we have as humans is that of Choice. We might not be able to stop the wind, but we can control the sail. The time has come for us to act and do something about our Nation, not to sit down and watch the train ride over us. We must first look around us to help the little we can, provide healthcare for the sick and education for less privileged children. We might not have the finances or the resources but we have a voice; the voice of hope with which we can break new grounds and move mountains. We can make that change happen and get our Nations back on track, and that is always my dream, my vision and focus.
The Hope Trust plan is to Give education to our people. After my tour to visit orphanages center, refugees camps and disadvantages people, I come to realised that we have millions of children who are willing to go to school, most of which have lost the opportunity of childhood or the hope of livelihood. A lot of them never grew up to know their fathers or be loved by a mother. Just like Josiane, a Turkana fourteen year old girl whose mother died when she was still a child and grew up in a home with two other wives, not in school and left on the streets of the slum to fend for herself. The future looks bleak for her. She is just one amongst thousands who wants to be loved again. I will never forget that question she asked “will you people come back again?.

We have made a promise and this is the time to fulfill it. We CAN send the children back to school; what they need is: school fees, pairs of uniforms, sports wear, sandals, canvass, exercise books and texts, stationery and a schoolbag for them. We CAN also renovate the old and dilapidated government primary school building and build a school for them in their community. We CAN bring  hope to them. We CAN make that impact!
Always I say: “Yes we can”. We are going all out to curb this eyesore and rebuild the lives of these children and others who need help in our society. We aren’t any better off than them but for God’s grace so we must reciprocate same kind gesture to them.

Forget complaining about government
These are the things that make a nation, the people and whatever impact we can make, that makes the difference. yes the government has its responsibilties, which it has more than once failed to carry out but we are the nation, the people and whatever little we can do collectively results in a major difference, reach places uv never imagined. this ideology of changing with our hands together is what we should spread, to the old and young. I would be honored to be part of this cost i live for two reasons God and man. Really glad that we can see HOPE and reach out to the hopeless. We are no longer dependent on the government but asking ourselves “What we can do to help our people in needy. God bless whoever came up with this brilliant idea and I hope my little help would put a smile on @least 2 children.

Volunteer with UN

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. Volunteerism can transform the pace and nature of development, and it benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer. UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for volunteerism globally, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing volunteers.

Be a volunteer

UNV is inspired by the conviction that volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges worldwide.  Everyone can contribute their time, skills and knowledge through volunteer action, and their combined efforts can be a significant force for achieving peace and development.
Volunteering makes important economic and social contributions, contributing to a more cohesive society by building trust and reciprocity among citizens. It can be both challenging and rewarding and require you to use your skills in a new context. You can also transfer useful knowledge while gaining a greater understanding of the issues affecting other people.

JOHN SHABANI’S TOUR-TO VISIT HADZABE TRIBE (BUSHMEN)

Small groups of Hadzabe bushmen live around Lake Eyasi. Their language resembles the click languages of other bushmen further south in the Kalahari. Their small population was seriously threatened, in particular during the period when Julius Nyere tried to introduce his Ujuma policy. The tribe resisted the forcible settlement policies of Julius Nyere and nowadays most of their children have never seen a doctor or school - the bush provides for all their needs and is a class room for their offspring.

They are often willing for visitors to come and see their simple bush homes where the tree canopy alone or a cave provides them with shelter. They live entirely off the bush and from hunting, generally small antelopes and baboons, although in rainy seasons gazelles and antelopes come down from the Ngorongoro or Serengeti to their then lush bush lands offering them richer pickings. In the recent past their hunting activities were resented by trophy hunters who tried to stop their "illegal".
hunting
The string on their lethal bows is made from giraffe tendons and the arrows are coated with a strong poison made from another tree. The commiphora tree povides excellent firewood which they kindle by rubbing wood, a green commiphora provides a mosquito-repelling sap, juice squeezed out of the sansaveria provides a cure for snake bites while aloe is used to heal cuts. Roots provide a wide range of medicines and the mighty baobab fruits as a source of drink. A few hours spent with the bushmen makes the apparently unhospitable bush country come to life and to watch them hunt a unique experience as they stealthily spot then creep up on their prey skillfully killing it.
